Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani while talking to media persons here on Sunday said that final decision has been taken to make changes and cut the size of Federal Cabinet under 18th Amendment, after consultation with party members and coalition parties. He added that all political parties were against military intervention.
He dispelled the notion that conspiracies were being hatched in the presidency in the past or at present. Gilani said that the 10-point agenda of PML-N was, in fact, a trust of the opposition party in his government.
The Prime Minister said that the problem of terrorism, which has caused the worst economic losses and misery to the country, was missing from the 10-point agenda of PML-N.
He said that war against terrorism is Pakistan's problem. Therefore, decision to to undertake military operation in North Wazirstan would be taken by the country itself. He said that it was not the war of the United Nations. So the country's army would fight it out.
He said that 2013 elections were approaching fast and the coming federal budget would be made keeping the problems of the public in mind, and added that subsidies would be given in gas and electricity bills after conducting poverty survey.
Referring to resumption of Pakistan-India dialogue he said that Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh wanted to continue the dialogue, but he faces pressure from the Indian Cabinet. Gilani said he (Indian PM) was welcome whenever he decides to visit this country.
