Sindh Minister for Works and Services, Manzoor Hussain Wassan on Sunday laid foundation stone of Shaheed Abdullah Murad Baloch Bridge being constructed at a cost of Rs85.451 million over Malir River between Memon Goth and Sheedi Goth in Gadap Town. The bridge will connect Memon Goth, Sheedi Goth, Darsano Channo Town.
The bridge will directly serve a population of 75,000, besides connecting two National Highways, Karachi-Hyderabad Super-highway and Karachi-Thatta-Hyderabad Road.
Speaking on the occasion, Manzoor Wassan said that the bridge will boost economic activities in the area owing to its close vicinity with Steel Mills, Port Qasim and Bin Qasim industrial estate besides facilitating up-gradation of agricultural and recreational infrastructure available in the area. Earlier, the Minister laid the foundation stone of Shaheed Abdullah Murad Baloch Bridge.
