Akber Aziz, a senior oil executive of Islamabad has created world record of 50 years long and continuous association with Shell. Aziz joined Shell as District Sales Representative in 1958 and retired recently as director of board of the company after completing 50 years without a single day's break.
The executive played a key role in conversion of Burmah-Shell into Pakistan Burmah Shell & Shell Pakistan. In Islamabad, while dealing with the federal government since 1962, he was considered to be most popular and effective oil company representative.
Simon Henry, CFO and member of the board of Royal Dutch Shell visited Islamabad to meet the Prime Minister who gave 'long service award' to Akber Aziz in an impressive ceremony held at a local hotel. Syed Naveed Qamar, Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources and Zaviji Ismail, Chairman Shell Group of Companies in Pakistan were also present on the occasion.-PR
