Pakistan middle order batsman Umar Akmal has squashed off his death rumours circulating on the internet.

In a video message, Akmal informed that he is alive and well, and would be participating in the upcoming National T20 Cup semi finals.

Earlier, reports regarding Umar Akmal death at the recently concluded dharna began circulating on the internet. At least six persons were killed and hundreds were injured in the protest.

Meanwhile, Akmal represents the Lahore White team at the T20 tournament and will play the semis on 29th November, against Faislabad at Rawalpindi stadium.
