A two-member Japanese investors' delegation showed its willingness to invest in the construction sector and related fields in Pakistan. While talking to Punjab Industrial Estate Chairman, S.M. Tanveer at Sundar Industrial Estate, they said that Pakistan is an ideal and right place for investment, and there is a vast potential as policies are congenial.
The delegation further said that power shortage in Pakistan could be overcome through joint ventures for which they are ready to bring capital and technology. Tanveer informed the delegation that PIE is establishing two new industrial estates, one in Bhalwal and other in Rahim Yar Khan. The feasibility reports of these have already been finalised and submitted to Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif, he added. He hoped that both the estates would be inaugurated within four to eight weeks.
