SPM Stags and Nestle Victorious on Thursday earned victories in 4th SPM Cricket League. In Professional Group, SPM Stags beat EFU by 64 runs and qualifies for the quarter-final here at Model Town Greens ground. SPM Stags scored 176 for all out after batting first. Salman Ali 47, Ayaz Tassawar 40, Usman Liaqat 33 and Nadeem Javed 31 runs were the main batsmen.
Asif Ghaffor took 4, Kashif Siddique snared 3 and Hasan Mehmood got 2 wickets. In reply EFU were all out for 112 runs with Hafiz Saad 35, Khurram Siddique 24 and Imran Ali 18 runs. Faisal Javed took 3 wickets while Kaleem Ullah and Salman Ali took 2 wickets each.
In Non-Professional Group, Nestle beat Aitchison College Staff by 5 wickets at Aitchison College Ground. Aitchison College Staff scored 132 for all out after batting first. Asim Nawaz 45 and Aamir Razzaq with 44 runs were the main batsmen. Naseer Ahmed, Rana Irfan and Farhan Yousaf took 3 wickets each. In reply, Nestle achieved the target for the loss of 5 wickets with Naveed Zafar 80 not out and Ali Babar 23 runs. Faisal Imran took 3 wickets.
