Funds released for Sialkot-Pasrur Road

SIALKOT: The federal government has released special development grant of Rs 3 billion for the reconstruction of 29-km-long Sialkot-Pasrur Road.

According to officials of the National Highway Authority (NHA), the road would be converted into a four-lane super highway and its construction would begin in December 2017.

The project would be completed in six months till end of June 2018 under the supervision of the NHA.

The officials said that 10 water channels would also be constructed along the super highway for spilling out of rain and flood waters.

They added that 10 bridges would also be established over the road to ensure a smooth flow of traffic.
