Exhibition 'Let a thousand flowers bloom' opens

Vice-Chancellor Punjab University, Professor Dr Mujahid Kamran inaugurated an exhibition of paintings titled "Let a thousand flowers bloom" of renowned artist Ali Azmat at Ejaz Art Galleries Gulberg on Tuesday. Principal PU College of Art & Design, Professor Dr Rahat Naveed Masud, eminent artists and a large number of art lovers were also present.
The Vice-Chancellor took a round of various sections of the art gallery and evinced keen interest in the 20 kids pictures put on display at the exhibition. Ali Azmat briefed Dr Kamran about each and every painting. Appreciating the creative and artistic standard of Ali Azmat's works, Dr Kamran said his paintings convey a profound message with regard to the unfortunate and unpleasant environment which is impacting all segments of society but the innocent children were being most adversely affected. He said Ali Azmat has executed his works in a highly skilful and impressive manner, reflecting the ever-growing trend of intolerance and violence in the country.-PR
