The Additional Secretary General of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Saifullah Khan Niazi has said that both PML-N and the PPP have been acting according to a well-scripted drama on the political theatre of the country. Issuing a policy statement of his party over the withdrawal of ultimatum being given by PML-N here on Monday, he said that nothing is going to happen within the next 45-day ultimatum period and it will go the same way as its three-day ultimatum has gone.
Niazi said the formation of a three-member committee by the PML-N to deliberate with the PPP on its 11-point demands means that Nawaz Sharif intentionally wants to drag the issue as long as possible. The Prime Minister has made a promise with Nawaz Sharif, which he is not in a position to keep neither can he write to the Swiss government to re-open cases against his boss Zardari in accordance with the supreme court's decision, nor can he get rid of politically well connected strong corrupt ministers.
About Nawaz Sharif's demand that the government should cut back on its expenditure, the less said the better. Likewise, the PPP will never be able to recover bank loans gobbled up by the big fish as all of them have connections at the right places in the corridors of power, adding that since the government has no interest in having a truly independent election commission therefore Nawaz Sharif's demand for an independent EC will also be never met.-PR
