Punjab Assembly on Friday with Rana Mashood in the chair offered dua for late Governor Salmaan Taseer. Senior Provincial Minister, Raja Riaz termed the murder of the Governor as unfortunate saying it was a political murder. He said that they had confidence that any investigation on the murder would be fair. Security provided to the Governor should have been flawless, he added.
Punjab Law Minister, Rana Sanaullah expressing sorrow over the assassination of the governor said that a thorough and unbiased investigation would be done. He added that after expiry period of their ultimatum, PPP ministers would be removed. Raja Riaz in the assembly averred that they after consultation with the president and prime minister would decide on deadline given by the PML-N. He said that they would side with PML-Q in case PML-M part ways with their party. The House was later adjourned by the chair.
