India's November tea output rises

India's tea production in November 2010 rose 3.7 percent from a year ago to 93.92 million kgs, data with the state-run Tea Board showed. India is the world's second biggest producer of tea after China. However, output during January to November stood at 907.7 million kg, down 1.43 percent from 920.9 million kg the same period last year, as a pest attack during middle of the year in Assam trimmed output.
