Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister for Information, Ms. Sharmila Farooqi has said that the government intends to take indiscriminate action against all criminal elements. This she said while talking to media at an exhibition held in Clifton here, said a statement issued on Sunday.
Ms. Sharmila Farooqi said maintenance of law and order in the province is among the utmost priorities of the government. She said economic uplift is linked with establishment of peace and besides giving especial powers to Rangers, police is also being equipped with modern technologies to further improve law and order in Sindh.
She further said the government intends to bring economic revolution in the country under the leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari. Government also intends to further develop the trust of the people on institutions, she added. The advisor, however, averred that criminal elements could not be controlled without the co-operation of people and masses should play a fearless role in this regard. She said the interest of everyone is linked with Karachi and development of the metropolis is the progress and prosperity of the country.
