A petition has been filed before the Lahore High Court on Saturday challenging nine percent increase in prices of petrol. Petitioner Hameed Goryia through his counsel Muteen-ul-Haq Chaudhry filed the civil miscellaneous into his main petition pending before the court against increase in gas prices.
The petitioner said, hike in petroleum prices would increase prices of items of daily use and would have adverse effect on poor masses who were already suffering due to price hike. He requested the court to stay the increase in prices of petroleum items and direct respondents to withdraw the notification.
