Message from President, Islamic Republic of Pakistan

I wish to congratulate Consumers Association of Pakistan (CAP) for organising Consumer Choice Award 2010 to honour quality goods and service providers. CAP has played commendable role to protect consumers by creating awareness about consumer's rights and responsibilities and in making industries become quality conscious.
It is reassuring that the selection of award winners is based on the choice of Pakistani consumers. The real award for any industry is not the trophy itself but the goodwill it has created among the consumers for its products and services. The Government is keen to protect consumers and is determined to adopt appropriate administrative and legislative measures for this purpose.
I once again congratulate Chairman and Members of the Committee of Consumers Association of Pakistan and commend their efforts for organizing such Consumers Choice Award. I also wish to congratulate the award winners who care for Pakistani consumers and wish them success in their future endeavours.
