Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F)'s Chief Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman on Wednesday left for Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah amid the growing political temperature of the country. Talking to Business Recorder JUI-F's spokesman Maulana Amjad Khan confirmed the reports pertaining to his departure to Saudi Arabia, saying that the JUI-F's Chief would stay there for two to three days.
He categorically rejected the impression that Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman use to leave for Saudi Arabia whenever there is political turmoil in the county, rather he said that his visit to perform Umrah was scheduled, adding that he had no other engagements in Saudi Arabia.
However, political analysts are of the view that Maualana use to leave for Saudi Arabia to defuse the intensive pressure being faced from Pakistan People's Party (PPP) for rejoining the coalition at the Center, which he quitted on December 14. They said that the demand of Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani's removal by the Maulana not only left the ruling party finger-crossed, but also the coalition partners as well as the opposition party, as he (Gilani) had been elected unanimously to the office by the Parliament.
