Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) are once again at forefront and their leaders are exchanging allegations and counter allegations against each other. PML-N senior leader Khawaja Asif MNA told reporters here on Tuesday that MQM is the only political party in the country whose head is a foreigner.
He said PML-N Quaid in his address at Muzaffarabad raised some political issues while MQM Chief is levelling personal allegations on Nawaz Sharif. "Every Pakistani had a right to get clarification on deaths of innocent in Karachi and unending spree of target killing," he added.
Asif said MQM chief Altaf Hussain should definitely argue but he must first return to the country, the PML-N would arrange visa for his return to the country. The PML-N leader said MQM remained part of every government after 1985. MQM is part of the government even today; it had left the coalition but did not withdraw support to the government.
The PML-N spokesman Senator Pervaiz Rasheed said his party is ready for the argument challenge from Altaf Hussain. "We avoid speaking on personal issues. Nawaz Sharif had not criticised any party in Muzaffarabad's public meeting; instead, he only cited Karachi targeted incidences," he said.
Another PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafique said the past of MQM is open with every one while the PML-N had learnt a lesson from its mistakes and experiences. The PML-N leader said the PML-N was waging a just struggle for supremacy of parliament while MQM since its inception remained part of establishment. He held Pervez Musharraf and his ally Altaf Hussein responsible for May 12 killings. We would be happy if the MQM adopts democratic approach, he said.
