Altaf endorses Rabita Committee's decision

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Quaid Altaf Hussain on Tuesday ratified the decision of his party's Rabita Committee to quit the federal government. The MQM chief was addressing the party activists via telephone from London at "90" Azizabad here and Hyderabad zonal office said a statement issued by MQM here.
The MQM activists were gathered to express solidarity and support in favour of their party's decision to quit the federal government, it said. Addressing the party workers, the MQM chief said we want the government should complete its five-year tenure.
Altaf said we intend continuity of the democratic process in the country. He also shed light on the reasons behind the decision of MQM Rabita Committee to quitting the Federal government. He also condemned Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) chief Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for criticising MQM in a public meeting in Muzaffarabad.
He said if government mends its ways, it will continue to get co-operation from his party. He said the MQM is a peace-loving party, which believes in democracy and also follows democratic traditions because it is a honest and loyal political entity. Altaf said his party has always supported the present government openly in all testing times during the past three years.
He recalled that his party has always registered written and verbal protests on different matters in the best interests of the people during last three years. He called upon the government to work for development and prosperity of the people. He said now the ball is in PPP's court and our future steps depend on the decision of the government.
