The martyrdom of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was a great tragedy for our nation. After tragic demise of Mohtarma Shaheed, every moment of the history of Pakistan is dragging ahead with her sad and agonising memories. These views were expressed by Fakhar Zaman, Chairman Pakistan Academy of Letter (PAL), on the occasion of third death anniversary of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.
Fakhar Zaman said that not an ordinary politician, she was a beacon of hope to many, a staunch believer in democracy, and a champion of human rights. She devoted her life to carrying forward the mission of her great father, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Shaheed: to empower the common man, to safeguard the rights of women and minorities, and to transform Pakistan into a welfare state.
He said that Shaheed BB's charismatic personality was a source of inspiration to millions in Pakistan and around the world. She cultivated these skills with care, and held writers, artists, and journalists in great esteem. He said that Shaheed BB not only achieved excellence in the field of politics, but also proved her muscles among intellectuals and writers through a force and clarity of her thoughts and writing.-PR
