Chairman Hilal-e-Ahmar, Punjab Mian Muhammad Hanif on Monday released annual performance report for the year 2010. According to the report, Hilal-e-Ahmar collected 2210 bags of blood donations while it also imparted first aid training to 7115 individuals during the year 2010.
Similarly, consultancy was also provided to 14,133 patients, besides check-up facility to 24,575 patients along with free medicines, the report said. Hanif while presenting the report said that Hilal-e-Ahmar has established blood campus in various colleges, universities, and factories and collected 2210 bags of blood donations. As many as 1915 patients have availed the facility of blood transfusion, he said.
Moreover, Hilal-e-Ahmar Punjab has imparted first aid training to 7,115 men and women in different school, colleges, and factories workers as well as public and private institutions. Health complex in Dena Nath near Manga Mandi has already been inaugurated which would provide deserving patients with free medical treatment, he said and added that 14,133 patients have been provided free of cost medicines and check-up facility.
The Department of Consultation for Psychological Problems has so far treated 11,515 patients. The department also facilitated free checkup and medicine to 7,920 psychiatry patients. Likewise, the Hilal-e-Ahmar Dental Department treated 2215 patients on subsidised cost. Hilal-e-Ahmar Punjab Ambulance Service played vital role in emergency response in shifting patients to Lahore. The service covered 78,424 kilometers distance during the year for shifting of patients.
