Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has said that political freedom is meaningless without economic freedom and the country can only be put on the road to progress by depending upon our own resources. He was talking to a delegation Punjab University, which called on him at Chief Minister's Secretariat on Saturday.
Students gave their suggestions with regard to improving the education and health facilities, uniformed education system, eradication of viral diseases and quackery. Member Provincial Assembly Dr Saeed Elahi, Vice Chancellor Punjab University Professor Dr Mujahid Kamran, Professor Dr Mansoor Sarwar and Chairman Punjab Youth Council Saif Hameed were also present on this occasion.
"We will have to develop our own resources for getting rid of foreign dictation and young generation will have to be equipped with science & technology and latest knowledge," Shahbaz said. He said that the young generation was fully capable and the nation had great expectations from them.
