Today marks the beginning of a new chapter in the history of the Sindh Province. The inauguration of Sindh Bank will bring to fruition the dream of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
The Bank will be a significant addition to the economy of the Sindh province and will encourage and support small-scale industries and SMEs. It will act as a catalyst in the growth of Sindh's economy by augmenting the agricultural/ industrial funding needs.
The province of Sindh has long been a land of opportunities for a number of civilizations that have inhabited it. Overtime, trade and commerce have witnessed incursions from various empires and civilizations. Today, Karachi alone, which has become a financial hub of the country, generates over 65% of national revenue while Sindh accounts for 30% of the national economy.
I congratulate Government of Sindh and the Board of Directors and Management of Sindh Bank on this momentous occasion and wish them success in the endeavors of the Bank.
