Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Nawaz Sharif has said that if PML-N was voted to power it would make Gwadar number one port of the world to usher in a new era of progress and prosperity in Balochistan. He said this while talking to a party delegation from Balochistan, which called on him here.
Led by PML-N Balochistan Organiser Khudaye Noor, the delegation comprised Sardar Sanaullah Zehri, Nawabzada Changez Khan Mari, Sardar Yaqoob Nasir, Jamal Shah Kakar, Abdul Qadir Baloch and others. The delegation exchanged views with the PML-N Chief over the prevailing situation in Balochistan, besides re-organisation matters of the party.
Nawaz said that development of Gwadar Port would ensure jobs to Balochis, besides ushering in a new era of development in Balochistan and Pakistan as well. The people of Balochistan were ignored in the past and the PML-N would remove their sense of deprivation if voted to power, he pledged.
The PML-N leader said he would visit Balochistan soon to meet his Baloch brothers. He added that Balochs have been exploited in the past. Nawaz vowed to restore the status of Baloch brothers once Allah Almighty gave him a chance to do so and said all out efforts would be made to bring prosperity and development to the province of Balochistan. The delegation members said the people of Balochistan were waiting for Nawaz Sharif and they wanted to see him among them anxiously.
The PML-N leaders also took the leadership into confidence on party organisation in Balochistan province. They said the Baloch people take Nawaz Sharif as ray of hope and soon the PML-N would emerge as a strong party in the province. They invited him to visit Balochistan at the earliest. Moreover, Sardar Sher Muhammad Rind, a politician from Sindh, also called on Nawaz at his Raiwind residence and announced to join PML-N.
Former Chief Minister Sindh Syed Ghaus Ali Shah was also present on the occasion. Rind said the Sindhis, like the people from other provinces, also take Nawaz Sharif as a ray of hope and trust him to steer the country out of the crises. Further, Nawaz Sharif accompanied by Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, Bishop Azad Marshal, Bishop Michael Nazir Ali and others attended a prayer service in connection with Christmas celebrations.
