KARACHI: Police is all set to operate physically at least fifteen madadgar 15 rescue centres in different localities of the city in next 10 days.
The Inspector General of Police Sindh, Mushtaq Ahmed Shah, was apprised of the status of rehabilitation, renovation and furthering of the madadgar 15 rescue centres at a meeting held at Central Police Office.
A statement on Saturday said that the meeting was attended among others by the Additional IGP Karachi, Ghulam Shabbir Shaikh, DIGP, headquarters Sardar Abdul Majeed, DIGP, Traffic Karachi; DIGsP of East, West and South Zones, DIGP T&T; DIGP, Sindh Reserved Police; AGI Logistic, CPO; SSPs of East, West, South, Malir and Central districts and AIGP Operation Sindh Amir Faruqui.
It said that the IGP Sindh approved one police mobile and two motorcycles for each madadgar 15 rescue centres with 50 Police personnel.
The rescue centres will work in three shifts round the clock with landline telephones and walkie talkies.
Mushtaq Shah directed to clearly exhibit standardized display boards of madadgar 15 rescue centres so that the citizens could early approach these offices.
The community policing is the answer to modern and effective policing and therefore members of civil society and local citizens be involved for effective functioning of Madadgar 15 rescue centres, he added.
