World’s most expensive player Neymar is once again making rounds in the headlines, as reports suggest that Spanish giant Real Madrid are expected to seek Brazilian superstar's services in place of ageing Cristiano Ronaldo.

Currently the reigning Champions League and La Liga champions [Real Madrid] are going through a rough patch. They are eight points behind table leaders Barcelona in the Spanish league, while they have suffered a humiliating 3-1 defeat in their last game of Champions League against Tottenham Hotspurs.

Zidane is in a lot of pressure at the moment with their superstar striker Ronaldo suffering from decline in form, having score only goal in six appearance in the La Liga.

Meanwhile, the champion squad from Spain is also facing injury issues, as their most expensive signing Garath Bale is on the injury list for months. He has just made only a handful of appearances for Madrid in both last and this session.

Whereas, Neymar only left Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in August after the Ligue 1 giants activated his $260million buyout clause.

But Spanish website Diario Gol says Barcelona striker Messi feels it is only a matter of time before he moves to the Bernabeu [Real Madrid]. It is said that Messi is aware the player’s father has a good relationship with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.

And, consequently, the Argentina international expects Neymar to sign as a replacement for the 32-year-old Portuguese.

In 2003, Ronaldo moved to Juventus instead of Manchester United.

Alessandro Moggi, son of former Juventus chief Luciano, said, “Ronaldo was offered to Parma and Lazio but they rejected a chance to sign him.”

Now Madrid are on back foot and in desperate need of a good striker to replace either Ronaldo or Bale, for which Neymar would be an ideal choice for the club.
