LAHORE: SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) an apex body of Chambers in the region has unanimously re-elected veteran a Pak trade leader for the third consecutive time As VP Chamber Pakistan Chapter.
SCCI sources told APP on Monday that chamber President Annisul Haq who hails from Bangladesh and all Vice Presidents from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhuttan, Nepal, Afghanistan and Maldives with majority votes re-elected Iftikhar Ali Malik for 3rd term and strengthening of economy, besides welfare and betterment of business community and corporate social sector in the region.
Iftikhar also held the offices of President FPCCI and LCCI earlier, He is Chairman Guard Group of Industries and Mumtaz Bukhtawar Memorial Trust hospital.
He has represented Pak private sector in scores of foreign countries and several time accompanied President and Prime Minister's delegations as member of their entourage.
Another 22 leading Pakistani businessmen have also been nominated in the executive committee and general body of SCCI Alam, Saif Din Zoonkawala, Muhammad Adnan Jalil, Mian Mahmood Ahmed, Akbar Khan, M.A Jabbar, S.M. Naseer, Mian Shahzada Mansha and Fazal Elahi while general body members includes Kanwar Kutubuddir, Shakeel Dinghre, Waseem ur Rehman, Shahzad Malik, Ms. Salma Ahmed, Khurram Sayeed, Tahir A Schon, Ghulam Farooq, Mian Zahid Hussain, Mian Maqbool and Shahid Ur Rehman.
