The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday directed a petitioner to file a separate petition to challenge the presidential pardon given to Sajjad Haider, co-accused with Interior Minister Rehman Malik. The court, however, allowed the appellant to place on record evidences against Sajjad Haider.
Imtiaz Rasheed Qureshi, Media Advisor to Save Judiciary Committee, filed an application in his already pending petition against the presidential pardon to Rehman Malik after a LHC bench had rejected his appeals against the sentence in absentia. The appellant had prayed to the court to hear this application along with the main petition, but the court refused to entertain the application.
