Zakat Council approved Rs 870m

LAHORE: Provincial Zakat Council Punjab (PZCP) has approved the first six-month budget for 2011-12 over Rs 870 million for educational scholarships, health, marriage grant, technical education and leprosy patients.

This was decided in a meeting of Provincial Zakat Council Punjab held under the chairmanship of Provincial Secretary Zakat and Ushr Imran Nasir Khan here on Monday in the office of Chairman PZCP.

Member Provincial Assembly Sakina Shaheen Khan, Administrator Zakat Punjab Muhammad Yousaf Butt, Deputy Administrator Zakat Field, Rana Muhammad Sajjad Babar, Maulana Raghib Hussain Naeemi, Hafiz Fazal Rahim Ashrafi, representatives of Social Welfare and Local Government departments were also present on the occasion.
