German car registrations up in November

BERLIN: New car registrations in Germany, a key gauge of demand in one of the most important sectors of the euro-zone biggest economy, rose in November, trade data showed on Friday.

A total 269,300 new cars were registered in Germany last month, an increase of 3.0 percent year-on-year, the VDA auto industry federation calculated in its monthly statistics.

Looking ahead to the full year, new registrations were set to remain stable at a total 3.1 million, the federation said.
