MUMBAI: Indian shares fell 0.3 percent in early trade on Tuesday, led by energy major Reliance Industries and software services bellwether.
At 9:18 a.m. (0348 GMT), the main 30-share BSE index was down 0.27 percent at 16,115.42 points, with 21 of its components trading lower, after the market had opened higher.
The 50-share NSE index was trading down 0.35 percent at 4,833.05 points.
