Published Updated

CHICAGO: Soymeal spot basis offers were steady to higher at truck markets around the United States on Monday as a soymeal futures rose 1 percent in a broad commodities rally.

* Some producers purchased soymeal early Monday despite firming cash prices, dealers said.

* Even as soymeal futures rose 1 percent on Monday, soymeal futures were still more than 3 percent lower than a week ago.

* CBOT grains and soy rose with US stocks as the US dollar slipped amid possible plans for the euro debt crisis.

* The CBOT January board crush rose 1-1/2 cents to 50-1/2 cents per bushel.
