23 suspects held by Rangers

KARACHI: At least 23 suspects have been arrested by the Sindh Rangers in crackdown on criminals in Karachi during the last 48-hours, a spokesman of Rangers announced on Monday.

The raids were conducted at Phool Chowk Kharadar, Jamshed Quarter, Dalmia, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Super Highway, NIPA Chowrangi, Baloch Para, Industrial area and Godhra in New Karachi Town, Bhitaiabad in Shah Faisal Town, Sherpao Colony in Landhi Town , Gulzar Colony in Korangi Town.

During raids and snap checking in these areas, the Rangers also seized 22 different types of arms with over 500 rounds of ammunition and 7 motorcycles, the spokesman added.
