Pakistan Army high command has approved the promotion of four major generals to next rank as Lieutenant General and they will assume new ranks after the retirement of four Lieutenant Generals, who are retiring this month. The army officers, who had been promoted, included Major General Khalid Nawaz Khan, Major General Sardar Mehmud Ali Khan, Major General M Alam Khatak, and Major General Shafqat Ahmed, said a spokesman of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), here on Friday.
Four Lieutenant Generals of the Pakistan Army were retiring from their service this month, who included Lieutenant General Shafqatullah Shah, Chief of Logistic Staff, Lieutenant General Raza Muhammed Khan, Director General, Joint Staff, Lieutenant General Masud Aslam, Corps Commander Peshawar, and Lieutenant General Muhammed Hamid Khan, President National Defence University (NDU).
Major General Sardar Mehmud Ali Khan was currently performing duties as Director General, Military Training at GHQ, Major General Khalid Nawaz as Commandant Command and Staff College Quetta, Major General M Alam Khattak as Deputy Chief of General Staff, and Major General Shafqat Ahmed was currently in service as GOC 10 Infantry Division.
