European stock markets rise at open

LONDON: Europe's main stock markets advanced at the start of trading on Wednesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index up 0.3 percent at 7,411.54 points.

In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 added 0.3 percent to 12,430.39 points and the CAC 40 in Paris won 0.4 percent to 5,196.13 points compared with the closing levels on Tuesday.
