LONDON: Europe's main stock markets declined in opening trade on Monday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index losing 0.5 percent to 7,493.36 points.

In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index shed 0.4 percent to 12,760.39 points and the Paris CAC 40 dipped 0.3 percent to 5,282.58 compared with Friday's closing level.
