Caretaker Sindh Chief Minster former Justice Abdul Qadir Halepota has said that February 18 is one of the important days in the history of Pakistan; therefore, people should reach the polling stations without any fear and cast their votes freely so that this day prove as a milestone for democracy.
In a statement on Sunday, he said that February 18 general elections would be peaceful, fair and transparent and those found disrupting law and order situation would be dealt with severely. He asked people to fully take part in the polls and cast their votes freely because the government had made foolproof security arrangements.
The chief minister said that squads of Rangers and Army in all parts of the province had assumed their responsibilities to assist police in maintaining security. Rangers' checkpoints at many sensitive areas in the province have been set up, besides enhancing their patrolling so as to avoid any untoward incident.
