Wapda clinches wrestling title

Pakistan Wapda clinched the 55th National Wrestling Championship 2007 here at Railway Stadium. The chief guest of the final was Mian Amer Mahmood, District Nazim, Lahore who distributed prizes among the winners. The event was held under the auspices of the Pakistan Wrestling Federation (PWF).
Wapda recorded 64 points (3 gold, 2 silver, 2 Bronze) while Army collected 61 points to earn silver. Bronze-medallist Railways secured 58 points.
FOLLOWING ARE GOLD MEDALLISTS IN SEVEN CATEGORIES: 55kg: Azhar Hussain (Army), 60kg: Ghulam Haider (Army), 66kg: Muhammad Sajid (Army), 74kg: Muhammad Ali (Wapda), 84kg: Shahid (Railways), 96kg: Usman Majeed (Wapda) and 120kg: Muhammad Umar (Wapda).
