MMA wants judicial body to probe Lal Masjid issue

Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) has urged the government to provide safe passage to Maulana Abdur Rasheed Ghazi and his companions to save lives of innocent children and women detained at Lal Masjid. This demand was made by MMA leaders Dr Farid Ahmad Paracha and Hafiz Salman Butt at a press conference, here on Saturday.
Blaming the agencies for creating Lal Masjid issue, the MMA leaders demanded Judicial Commission comprising judges of the Supreme court to investigate how the arms and ammunition reached at the Masjid.
They were of the view that secret agencies had created the Lal Masjid issue to divert public attention from Chief Justice Case, devastation caused by Cyclone and other important issues. To a question, Dr Farid Paracha said that Maulana Abdul Rasheed Ghazi is showing irresponsible attitude.
