The Karachi Port handled 155,359 tonnes cargo including 128,272 tonnes import, 27,087 tonnes export cargo and 3,203 containers (TEUs) during last 48 hours ending at 0700 hours on Monday.
The cargo comprised of 105,319 tonnes dry cargo including 66,208 tonnes general cargo; 23,653 tonnes coal; 10,288 tonnes cement; 5,170 tonnes rock phosphate and 50,040 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Twelve ships namely Oel Esteem, Oel Shreyas, Ltc Calvin P. Titas, Emirates Jumeirah, Bunga Delima, Soon Fu, Nyzdan, Eagle Mil Waukee, Sea Brilliance, Islamabad, Valbella and Al-Maqwa sailed out to sea during the report period.
Eleven vessels viz B Europa, Pontonikis, Soon Fu, Bunga Delima, Tower Bridge, Gallant Wave, Oel Victory, Nordwoge, Igwt, Datian and Al-Maqwa are currently at the berths.
Five ships namely Tower Bridge, Gallant Wave, San Jiang Kou, Al Mansourah and Nordwoge expected to sail on Monday, while four vessels viz Pontica, Oel Victory, Mol Ability and B Europa expected to sail on Tuesday.
Four vessels viz M.T. Swat, China Star, Hyundai Stride and Al-Wakra due to arrive on Monday, while eleven ships namely Four Bay, M.T. Johar, Hartati, Scotland, Jiao Chang, Effi N, Asian Queen, Pacific Express and Al-Jaber 18 are due to arrive on Tuesday.
The cargo comprised of 22,161 tonnes diesel oil; 3,995 tonnes crude oil; 5,322 tonnes edible oil, 2,595 tonnes chemicals and 8,211 tonnes containerised cargo. Four ships namely C.V. MSC Nederland, M.V. Khairpur, M.T. Poppi and M.T. New Setokaze sailed out to sea during last 24 hours.
Two vessels viz M.T. Yanaseni and M.T. Despina are expected to sail on Monday. A total of five ships namely Maersk Missouri, Grigoroussa-L, Doris, Captain George-L and Ariadne Jacob carrying containers, furnace oil, edible oil, iron ore and diesel oil are currently at the outer anchorage. Six vessels viz C.V. MSC Nederland, C.V. Pacheco, M.T. Yanaseni, M.T. New Setokaze, M.T. Poppi and M.T. Despnia are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, chemicals, edible oil, diesel oil and crude oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Four ships namely CV MSC Brianna, C.V. Maersk Missouri, M.V. Daris and M.V. Captain George-L due to take berths at Container Terminal, Multipurpose Terminal and IOC Berth respectively on Monday. Two vessels viz C.V. Sima Pride and M.V. Al Mansorauh due to arrive on Monday, while three more ships namely M.T. Oriental Miho, C.V. Nedlloyd Europa and C.V. Saudi Hofuf are due to arrive on Tuesday.
