The new age car-ride hailing company, Uber has confirmed that their freshly hired president has decided to part ways with the venture.
In an interview with Reuters Jones said, "I joined Uber because of its mission and the challenge to build global capabilities that would help the company mature and thrive long term."
According to Recode, Jones confirmed his departure saying, It is now clear, however, that the beliefs and approach to leadership that have guided my career are inconsistent with what I saw and experienced at Uber and I can no longer continue as president of the ride sharing business.
Jeffs role as a COO became uncertain when the company started a search for a chief operating officer to help run the company alongside Chief Executive Travis Kalanick. The reason behind this decision could be the incompatibilities between the company and Jones ideology.
Uber also issued a public statement by Travis Kalanick, We want to thank Jeff for his six months at the company and wish him all the best.
The company has been going in a deep spiral losing one credible employee after another, last month engineering executive, Amit Singhal resigned after being accused of sexual harassment by his previous work place, Googles Alphabet Inc's. Earlier this month Ed Baker, Uber's vice president of product and growth and Charlie Miller, Uber's famed security researcher, too parted ways with the ride-hailing giant.
Ubers Chief Executive, Travis Kalanick is now in a very critical position, striving hard to save companys long lost reputation.
