KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Tuesday having 49452.71 points with a positive change of 17.82 and volume of 100,774,210 shares.

High and Low were 49525.48 and 49216.32 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 237,057,990 shares with 381 total traded companies out of which 127 were up 135 were down and 19 were unchanged.

COMMERCIAL BANKS was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 27,417,900 shares. It was followed by POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION with a total traded volume of 25,807,900 shares.

The three top traded companies were Sui North Gas with a volume of 15,305,000 and price per share of 135.29 (5.87), Pak Refinery with a volume 12,292,500 of price per share of 54.32 (2.58), Sui South Gas. with a volume 9,052,500 of price per share of 43.73 (0.52).

The top three advancers were Nestle Pakistan with price per share 9100.00 (89.00), Millat TractorsXD with price per share of 1243.98 (45.29) and Punjab Oil share of 377.00 (16.08).

The top three decliners were Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share of 2940.38 (154.75), Sanofi-Aventis with price per share of 2418.73 (124.47) and Unilever Foods share of 5400.00 (101.67).
