KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Thursday having 49696.08 points with a positive change of 703.92 and volume of 148,290,700 shares.

High and Low were 49729.99 and 48992.16 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 398,532,220shares with 401 total traded companies out of which 267 were up 115 were down and 19 were unchanged.

CHEMICAL was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 82,077,580 shares. It was followed by ENGINEERING with a total traded volume of 35,512,500 shares.

The three top traded companies were Lotte Chemical. with a volume of 58,318,000 and price per share of 11.82 (1.00), K-Electric Ltd. with a volume 29,359,000 of price per share of 9.95 (0.34), TRG Pak Ltd. with a volume 19,074,500 of price per share of 59.87 (1.23).

The top three advancers were Rafhan Maize with price per share 7700.00 (120.00), Hinopak Motor with price per share of 1659.99 (74.49) and Millat Tractors share of 1268.37 (60.39).

The top three decliners were Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share of 3429.50 (180.50), Ghandhara Ind. with price per share of 867.11 (16.19) and Service Ind.Ltd share of 1430.56 (11.21).
