NAWABSHAH: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Bajwa reached Sehwan Sharif on Friday to visit the injured people at hospital after yesterdays suicide attack at shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar that killed at least 80 people.
According to latest media reports, the Prime Minister and army chief were accompanied by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah and Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair.
The PM and COAS inquired about the health of the injured at Peoples Medical Hospital.
Despite rising terrorism attacks across the country, sufficient security had not been provided at the shrine, said people who were protesting outside the shrine Friday morning.
The shrine's Sajjada Nasheen, spiritual heir, told Geo News he was not satisfied with the security arrangement that was in place before the attack.
Later, the prime minister and interior minister were given an investigation report of the suicide attack that was claimed by terrorist group ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) also known as Daesh.
At least 80 people were martyred and over 300 injured in a suicide attack on the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar on Thursday.
