KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Wednesday having 49214.15 points with a negative change of 553.76 and volume of 156,604,410 shares.

High and Low were 49922.34 and 49097.02 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 417,525,550 shares with 399 total traded companies out of which 104 were up 278 were down and 17 were unchanged.

CEMENT was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 70,716,750 shares. It was followed by POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION with a total traded volume of 52,783,900 shares.

The three top traded companies were 52,783,900 with a volume of 39,429,500 and price per share of 20.72 (0.78), Media Times Ltd with a volume 19,449,500 of price per share of 5.08 (0.21), Thatta Cement with a volume 10,129,000 of price per share of 41.90 (0.20).

The top three advancers were Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share 4370.00 (106.66), Service Ind.Ltd with price per share of 1517.22 (67.22) and Jubile Life Ins share of 669.50 (24.28).

The top three decliners were Sanofi-Aventis with price per share of 2575.00 (76.89), Hinopak Motor with price per share of 1621.25 (54.01) and Millat Tractors share of 1002.65 (51.38).
