DUBAI: Najam Sethi, the Chairman of Pakistan Super League (PSL) has assured the cricket fans that the final of Twenty20 league will be held in Lahore, if they want to following Monday's bombing.
The foreign players have refused to play the final in Lahore after Mondays blast, but if the citizens of Pakistan want the final of PSL to be held in Lahore despite foreign players not participating in the final, then the final will be held in Lahore," said Sethi in his statement.
On Monday, a suicide bomber exploded himself at Lahore Mall Road, killing thirteen people including DIG Traffic Lahore Capt (retd) Ahmed Mubeen and SSP Zahid Gondal while 84 were injured.
Earlier, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), conducted a meeting with foreign players before the start of PSL, assuring them regarding security.
The final for the PSL is scheduled to be held on March 5 in Lahore. For years, Pakistan's international test cricket matches have been played abroad and the current Twenty20 tournament is being played in United Arab Emirates due to security fears.
