RECORDER REPORT: PSX mid day update

KARACHI: On Tuesday, until mid day, KSE-100 Index was at 49938.88 with a negative change of 26.75 and volume of 62,131,850 shares.

High and Low were 50036.65 and 49771.91 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 179,329,060 shares with 344 total traded companies out of which 149 were up, 181 were down and 14 were unchanged.

ENGINEERING was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 45,295,800 shares. It was followed by CEMENT with a total traded volume of 31,033,700 shares.

The three top traded companies were Aisha Steel Mill with a volume of 27,577,000 and price per share of 27.30 (0.09), Power Cement Ltd. with a volume 24,493,000 of price per share of 20.15 (0.30), Dost Steels Ltd. with a volume 11,896,000 of price per share of 15.41 (0.37).

The top three advancers were Shell Pakistan with price per share 604.00 (16.37), Siemens Pak.XD with price per share of 946.00 (10.85) and Otsuka Pakshare of 239.00 (8.02).

The top three decliners were Sanofi-Aventis with price per share of 2600.00 (136.00), Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share of 4380.00 (89.99) and Highnoon (Lab) per share of 618.00 (25.05).
