Chinese store Kailijumei has created a new fashion trend in the market when they launched 'Flower Jelly Lipstick' which changes color according to your mood. The transparent lipstick changes color according to the body temperature and have real flowers inside.
The lipstick that's been taking over Instagram is no ordinary lipstick. The lipstick looks transparent, but it actually produces a glossy pinkish tint, which differs according to your body temperature; the warmer you are, the darker the shade. The brand currently offers four flower variations, Flame Red, Hot Pink, Minutemaid and Barbie Doll Powder, ELLE Malaysia reported.
The Chinese brand saw such high demand when launched few months ago, they've recently decided to expand to the United States.
After Kailijumei, Manhattan-based cosmetics brand Winky Lux too came out with its own line of flower lip balms which works similar to the flower jelly lipstick.
Color-changing lipsticks are not entirely a new concept. Avon sold color magic lipsticks in the 1970s. The ingredient that allows these lipsticks to change color is CI 45410, also known as Red 27. Red 27 is clear when dissolved in the lipstick tube, but reacts with your lips moisture and pH level to adjust color.
