Despite retiring from international cricket, Brendon McCullum remains one of the biggest superstars in T20 cricket.
The former New Zealand skipper was arguably the biggest catch of the second edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL). Leading the Lahore Qalandars in his debut appearance at the tournament, McCullum was all praised for the local talent on hand.
"Its been incredibly exciting to watch these players in the warm-up nets weve had so far. There are a lot of guys in the squad who are good and to me that is because the talent in Pakistan is phenomenal and that is why this competition is so great," stated McCullum, in an interview to PakPassion.net.
The hard-hitting batsman was particularly in awe of Fakhar Zaman.
"I would say that Fakhar Zaman is very good and he looks outstanding. I'm looking forward to seeing him making his presence felt in the tournament," stated McCullum.
Furthermore, the veteran cricketer praised PSL for providing opportunities to emerging talent to play alongside top names and showcase their skills.
"Competitions such as the PSL can really grow the home-country's players as we have seen in other countries as well."
