PSL II: Zalmi reaches Dubai, while Kings celebrate

Pakistan Super League (PSL) second edition is scheduled to begin on 9th February at the UAE.

imagePakistan Super League (PSL) second edition is scheduled to begin on 9th February at the UAE. The party however, has begun already after Karachi Kings celebrated its launch event at the National Stadium Karachi on Friday.

Following Peshawar Zalmis, Kings too released their new anthem Dhan Dhana Dhan Hoga Re that was sung by Shehzad Roy during the event, which was attended by Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah along with celebrities and politicians.

Meanwhile, the Peshawar Zalmis Players have started reaching Dubai for the second season of the league.

Players including Pakistans Mohammad Hafeez, Sohaib Maqsood, Junaid Khan and Kamran Akmal, arrived at Dubai and had a get together with the foreign players. As per reports, all rounder Shahid Afridi, and fast bowler Wahab Riaz have yet to reach Dubai, along with a number of foreign players.

Whereas, Lahore Qalandars who were the first PSL franchise to reach Dubai conducted there very first meeting, during which the team captain Brendon McCullum addressed his players ahead of the T20 tournament.

The current champions, Misbah led Islamabad United also had a brainstorming session, preparing his team for the desert storm that lies ahead.
