KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed lower on Wednesday having 49555.83 points with a negative change of 110.14 and volume of 147,439,680 shares.

High and Low were 49780.53 and 49430.90, respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 338,184,760shares with 397 total traded companies out of which 115 were up 266 were down and 16 were unchanged.

CHEMICAL was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 55,514,900 shares. It was followed by POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION with a total traded volume of 52,755,500 shares.

The three top traded companies were K-Electric Ltd... with a volume of 46,739,500 and price per share of 10.52 (0.51), TRG Pak Ltd. with a volume 20,549,500 of price per share of 58.76 (0.13), Power Cement Ltd. with a volume 19,337,000 of price per share of 15.22 (0.05).

The top three advancers were Sanofi-Aventis with price per share 2519.87 (119.99), Wyeth Pak Ltd. with price per share of 4600.00 (73.45) and Mari Petroleum.. share of 1441.99 (68.66).

The top three decliners were Unilever Foods with price per share of 5725.00 (-275.00), Hinopak Motor with price per share of 1740.00 (-42.02) and Ferozsons (Lab) share of 654.79 (-21.66).
