KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Thursday having 50192.36 points with a positive change of 435.59 and volume of 202,805,370 shares.

High and Low were 50286.02 and 49668.64 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 449,717,570 shares with 419 total traded companies out of which 218 were up 185 were down and 16 were unchanged.

POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 111,982,100 shares. It was followed by ENGINEERING with a total traded volume of 45,617,400 shares.

The three top traded companies were K-Electric Ltd.. with a volume of 74,078,000 and price per share of 10.25 (0.37), Japan Power. with a volume 32,376,500 of price per share of 8.22 (0.21), P.I.A.C.(A)... with a volume 26,176,500 of price per share of 9.80 (0.47).

The top three advancers were Bata (Pak) with price per share 4090.00 (37.41), Thal Ind.Corp.XD. with price per share of 509.00 (24.00) and IGI Insurance.. share of 398.81 (18.99).

The top three decliners were Rafhan Maize with price per share of 7800.00 (-350.00), Hinopak Motor with price per share of 1714.53 (-85.47) and Shield Corp. share of 531.40 (-27.96).
